Social Cohesion and Livelihoods Revival in Bara Khyber Agency FRD with the support of UNDP, FATA rehabilitation and recovery program is implementing a project on the social cohesion and livelihoods for retunees in Bara Khyber Agency.
FRD with the support of UNDP, FATA rehabilitation and recovery program is implementing a project on the social cohesion and livelihoods for returnees in Bara Khyber Agency. The project implementation started on 25th January 2016, its phase 1 is completing on 30th April 2016, however proposals have been called by UNDP for continuation of the project for another year. The project includes formation of the local community based organizations, who identify the needs in the community, prioritize the needs and also help the FRD field team identify the beneficiaries for cash for work programming. FRD tries to identify the labor intensive works, so that more cash could be injected to the local economy for take off after returns. Additionally 100 vulnerable (60% are women headed) households are provided with cash grants of PKR 22,000 for restarting their small businesses.
