Through this project 1800 most vulnerable TDP families of NWA residing in host community were facilitated with improved shelter condition and 3846 families were facilitated with safe drinking water, sanitation and improved hygiene condition. FRD monitoring team closely monitored project activities to ensure transparency. During implementation various monitoring visits were carried out to target areas to identify gaps and to timely share it with MHI and UNHABITAT for remedial actions. Validation of 7 BBCM, 270 shelter assessments, 20 CRCs, 30 Hygiene/TOT sessions, 3 water supply schemes and 68 pit latrines was carried out. Apart from this, FRD team also visited and monitored hygiene kits distribution in different villages of target community. Key findings/gaps observed by FRD were timely shared with MHI management for bringing improvement in the distribution mechanism. This resulted into smooth and successful hygiene kits distribution.
Regular visits were made to warehouses where MHI was piling shelter, WASH material, tool kits and hygiene kits. During these visits, gaps/issues and key findings were observed. The identified gaps/issues and variances were reported to UNHABIBTAT’s (Donor Agency) focal person, MHI and FRD management as well for necessary compliance. It was observed that most of the gaps which FRD had identified and reported had been remedied.
Along with this, monitoring of shelter material supply, distribution, shelter installation, hygiene kits distribution, pit latrine material and its distribution was carried out. About 300 hygiene kits distribution out of 1543 total distribution in host community and 400 hygiene kits distribution out of 1626 total distribution in TDPs community were validated by monitoring team. FRD verified 68 latrines out of 612 installed Latrines. Apart from this, FRD team also monitored and confirmed 70 out of 226 cash disbursement (Rs.1000 /beneficiary) that MHI had disbursed as compensation of transportation charges.
