Emergency Response Fund (United Nations)
Emergency Response Fund (ERF) in Pakistan was established in March 2010 to respond effectively to various emergency situations in a quick manner. The fund is managed by UNOCHA on behalf of Humanitarian Coordinator in the country. As the monsoon floods of 2010 hit the country, FRD started various humanitarian activities in various parts of the country. Emergency Response Fund supported one of our WASH activities in the most backward areas of Punjab province i.e. Dera Ghazi Khan. ERF supported us to provide clean drinking water through trucking for three months to more than 28,000 individuals, rehabilitate 100 communal drinking water sources, Promote personal and communal hygiene and distribute family Hygiene kits, water collecting and storing Jerry cans and water purifying tablets among 4000 flood affected poor families.
