Our Partners

Foundation for Rural Development believes in active and fruitful partnership for sustainable development. The partnerships of FRD are meant for delivering the best services in the best possible way. Our Partners always include the beneficiaries of our project as the major stake holders. As social Mobilization is our cross cutting theme, the beneficiaries of our projects and activities are always treated as partners as they play a major role in all stages of the projects planning, implementation AND Monitoring & Evaluation of our Projects.
Treatment of beneficiaries as partners always lead to sustainable development in the long term and help in reducing the dependency syndrome in humanitarian context. To make the development process and humanitarian assistance a well-coordinated and inclusive FRD is in partnership with Communities, Relevant Government Agencies, UN agencies and other NGOs.

International Organization for Migration (IOM)

IOM is working internationally for assisting migrants. In response to monsoon floods of 2010 IOM also worked on provision of shelter to flood affected population and had been national shelter coordination hub in the flood response. FRD received in kind emergency shelter material and Nonfood items for flood affected population in Union council Mor Jhangi, Tehsil Tunsa of District D.G Khan. FRD distributed the material well ahead of peak winter season and enabled the flood affected population to have dignified winter season.

Similarly in response to returnee IDPs crises in Central Kurram Agency, FRD was primarily working with UNHCR for provision of shelter material, but also provided logistic and Human resource support of IOM for distribution of the Shelter/NFIs in central Kurram Agency.

Currently FRD entered an agreement with PTI/IOM for identification of 40 potential women in UC Wazir Bagh of District Peshawar, provide them skills enhancement training and business record keeping training in 3 months, provide them the necessary tools and help them improve their linkages with the market.
