    The livelihood development team of FRD who are delivering services in Mohmand Agency have been provided an orientation on the their role in the process of sustainable development inside Mohmand Agency.     FRD and UNHCR join hands to provide relief against the harsh weather to IDPs

    Foundation for Rural Development and UNHCR have planned another important and innovative intervention for the vulnerable IDPs who are living in tents in scorching temprature of above 42 degree celsius. In the same camps the temprature may hit freezing point in the months December and January.

    FRD organized three days training on Community Management Skills in its field office at Ghalanai, MOHMAND AGENCY in which President, Secretary and Finance Secretary of each community organization of eight TRAQIATI JARGAS participated. Training was aimed to cater the required needs of the community organizational management and operation in effective manner for the sustainable outcome and to attain effectiveness and efficiency in the community organizations.

    Improving literacy ratio in Tehsil Haleem Zai, Mohmand Agency by establishment of five Non formal education schools

    Literacy ratio in FATA is drastically low due to various reasons. Poverty and nonexistence of the schools are the main contributing factors in the low literacy rate. Lack of access to schools due to difficult terrain and poor roads makes it difficult to access the schools. It is due to this vary reason that the school enrollment is low and the dropout ration is quite high.

    Families going to have their own house after many generations

    FRD has successfully accomplished the most challenging task by facilitating 35 families in acquisition of lands who were living in spontaneous camps of Saleem Sugar Mills Charsada and kheshgi Nowshehra.

    Improving the infrastructure, providing opportunity for livelihood at Gul Imam

    FRD has restored livelihood of flood affected families by involving beneficiaries in rehabilitation of 11 different community infrastructures schemes in 4 villages of UC Gul Imam of district Tank. These schemes were identified by the community on the basis of their prioritized needs. Restoration of CBI not only improved the quality of life but also reduced the future disaster from flood through DRR measures. These schemes will benefit more than 55,000 people.

    FRD starts relief and Early recovery for returnee IDPs in Kurram Agency

    Foundation for Rural Development has entered an agreement with United Nations agency for refugees(UNHCR) for assisting returned IDPs in Kurram Agency with Shelter repair Kits. The project will enable 1000 returnee IDPs families to rebuild their destroyed houses.

    Training session for the O & M committees for sustainability of Community infrastructure schemes in MOhmand

    FRD has organized one day operation and maintenance training for the O & M committees formed by FRD in partnership with IC for livelihood improvement in Tehsil Halimzai of Mohmand agency. FRD has formed 14 community organizations of local beneficiaries; four of them have been able to complete their community infrastructures schemes of water supply, irrigation Channel and flood protection. Purpose of training was to build capacities of these organizations for efficient operation and maintenance of the schemes.

    FRD paving the way for development of agriculture in Tehsil Haleemzai, Mohmand Agency

    FRD facilitated IC-LP in improvement of agricultural techniques in Mohmand agency. FRD facilitated in establishment of 40 wheat plots in 9 villages (0.5 acres per plot). 25 KG Seed, 25 KG DEP and 50 KG Urea were distributed among the 40 farmers. The community and the farmers remained cooperative throughout the activity in selection, seed distribution and the cultivation. The farmers are responding positively and the routine maintenance of agricultural land and plots is carried out regularly.

    Cash for Work Distribution Ceremony of Shelter Repair Kit Mohmand Agency

    FRD Mohmand Agency field staff arranged Cash for Work Distribution Ceremony for the beneficiaries of the shelter repair kit project at Jirga hall, Political Agent office in Ghalanai. The ceremony was attended by the assistant Political Agent, Political Tehsildar Tehsil Safi, FDMA representative, FRD staff as well as the beneficiaries.
