    All Landi Kotal Inter-School Football Tournament organized by FRD and RAHA-UNHCR

    As part of the cultural and youth events project, intended to promote the peaceful coexistence and harmony amongst the host and the refugee community, a foot ball tournament was organized by FRD and RAHA at Landi Kotal.

    Refugee schools rehabilitation work successfully completed in village Timar, district Lower Dir.

    FRD with support of UNHCR has successfully completed repair/rehabilitation work in refugee schools at Timar. In order to inspect quality of work, a joint visit by FRD, UNHCR, CAR and shura members was carried out to all 5 rehabilitated schools (i.e MSB-263, MSB-286, PSG-333, PSC-291, MSG-269) and a small ceremony was organized at MSB 263, in which all the visitors, SMC and children of the schools participated.

    FRD has successfully completed the tent shelter project at Togh Sarie camp Hangu to facilitate the IDP’s families at camp. Provision of tent shelter enabled these families to cope with the extreme weather conditions at the camp as tents are providing insulation against the heat and rains.

    Two More Batches of Taraqiyat Jirga Office bearers Trained

    Two Batches of the office bearers of Taraqiyati Jirgas from Mohmand Agency, FATA, Pakistan trained on rights and Obligations and concepts of sustainable development. 1st Batch Comprised on 9 TJs and second batch provided training to 10 Taraqiyati Jirgas. Each TJ was represented by 3 of its executive members, and each training lasted three days.

    Site maintenance activities in IDP’s camps is speeded up

    FRD site maintenance activities in two camps i.e. Togh Serai Hangu and Jalozai, Nowshehra is in progress. Labor for the maintenance work is hired from within the camp on daily wages, in consultation with the shura members.

    Health and Hygiene Education in 8 schools of Five Target Refugee Villages in 3 districts of KPK has been delivered

    To improve health and hygiene condition of 100% school children in targeted Refugee Villages of KPK especially Mardan, Swabi and Peshawar, FRD with support of DRC implemented its WASH project with aim to bring change and sustain in behavior of the community through hygiene promotion sessions and awareness raising using different tools.

    Emergency Shelter and NFI’s provided to more than 2000 returning IDP’s of Kurram

    FRD in partnership with UNHCR provided emergency shelter by distribution of 2,685 tents to returning IDP’s of kurram, along with 2,585 winterized NFI’s to the verified beneficiaries.
