For the formal opening of the training the facilitator Mr. Hameedullah Khan, Agency Programme Coordinator, IC FATA/ Mohmand Agency welcomed the participants and presented a brief overview of livelihood programme of Inter- Cooperation. While speaking to participants, Mr. HameedUllah khan said“The progress and performance of the programme has been very good so far and i hope for its extension in haleemzai tehsil and other parts of the agency”
He further added that "CMST is that how to manage and make your Taraqiati Jargas well-disciplined and well established organization for harvesting continued benefits. I hope that the training would provide you a good opportunity to learn as development activists"
Mr. Ikram Ullah Jan (FRD Consultant)was resource person for training. First Two days were for class room sessions in which development process, barriers in development and mitigation mechanisms were discussed along with community management, record keeping and development plan for their village. Group discussions and group presentations were carried out which created sound understanding of the participants about the concept and philosophy of development in general and participatory approach in particular. Training manuals were provided to each participant and Forum was open to question answers throughout the training.
Last day was for a session on coordination and collaboration with Government department followed by a panel of discussion in which representatives from Agriculture, Livestock, and Forestry Department participated. They spoke about the functions and services of their departments and extended their cooperation to Taraqiati jargas in any relevant function / services. Course Certificates were distributed among the participants by Political Tehsildar.
At the end of training session participants were fully equipped with knowledge regarding management of community organizations for sustainable impact of activities. This training developed strong bond of cooperation, coordination and harmony among CO’s that will pave the way for collective development.
