FRD enters an agreement with UNHCR for responding to North Waziristan IDPs situation in Bannu Keeping in view the current influx of thousands of IDPs families from North Waziristan Agency to District Bannu and other areas of Pakistan, FRD has entered another agreement with UNHCR for facilitating the IDPs in various possible ways.
The agreement is based on a holistic understanding of the situation, in which field staff of FRD will carry out rapid assessment of the IDPs families living in Public school buildings and communal places, which have turned as spontaneous camps. The tasks of the teams will not only be rapid assessment but also a rapid response in terms of WASH, water trucking where necessary, water distribution networks rehabilitation, installation of water storage tanks, repair of the existing water tanks, rehabilitation of existing toilets, installation of new toilets where necessary, construction of bathing places on need basis, provision of additional shelters on need basis, identification of protection cases and referral and installation of Purdawall to enable the IDPs women to live with peace of mind.
